Unworthy

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

I often hear people claim the superiority of the human race over everything. In my field, this is especially true when the topic of AI is brought up. Oh humans created AI, therefore we are superior. It is said that we are superior because we are creative. But are we really?

Did all humans contribute towards the development of AI?
No.

Did the majority of humans contribute towards any advancement in general?
No.

Every single revolutionary achievement which humans love to brag about was the work of only a very few people. Not even 0.01% of the world’s population can lay claim to such an achievement. Mankind is unworthy of claiming that they are superior due to such achievements. It is a terrible insult to the handful who are worthy.

The masses are nothing more than mindless drones, with massive erratas in their logic. Without good logic there cannot be creativity or advancement. In fact, inferior logic places them lower in the usefulness chain than the average computer. While not perfect, computer logic has many orders of magnitude less flaws than that of an average human. Which is why automation works. And which is why AI will work.

Humans should stop making excuses for themselves - If that lowly computer outclasses you, clearly you are unworthy of existence.
